It’s a proverb credited to the French novelist Alphonse Karr (1808-90), but it’s also been used by George Bernard Shaw, Kurt Russell (as Snake Plissken in Escape from LA!), and Bon Jovi. It seems an apt quote to describe the state of employment in the IT industry.
